Inside The Officers House

The look and feel of The Officers House is relaxed luxury that’s as practical as it is comfortable. Every room has been carefully designed to make the most of the space whilst not destroying the aesthetics of the Georgian layout. With a central corridor acting as a spine that runs from the front lobby to the breakfast room, each room is beautifully decorated in muted Farrow and Ball colours that don’t detract the eye. Under foot you’ll find oak boards throughout the ground floor (heated in the kitchen) only broken by a classic coir rug in the drawing room in front of the marble surrounded open fire.

Everywhere you look are little touches that make the difference. Handmade kitchen cabinets with black granite tops that were built to be in exact proportion to their space, whilst looking unobtrusive and in keeping with their environment.

The walls are hung with original art that sits alongside period photographs of the village, giving you a sense of the history of this remarkable area. We have tried to make the art compliment the space rather than just having it for the sake of it.
