Inside Seakale
From the moment you arrive we have tried to make the cottage feel totally at home with its surroundings. Somewhere you’d feel comfortable entering with sandy feet after a long day at the beach. Simply furnished and decorated in whites throughout with blue accents and colourful prints on the walls to add a splash of colour. Each room has some seaside/nautical curio to remind you of its location, old photographs of the area and original driftwood sculptures of birds and fishes from a local artist.


We stripped the original pine floors back and then whitewashed them throughout the house, cool in summer and softened in the winter with colourful stripped rugs.

Low voltage halogen recessed spots throughout the house enhance the feeling of light when the sun isn’t out and when it is double doors open directly off the dining area onto the narrow shingle beach garden with small garden table and chairs. To further enhance the feeling of light and space a modern high gloss white kitchen that hides all the mod cons you would expect sits off from the open plan dining living area.
