Seakale

Brief Description Location Inside Downstairs Upstairs

Brief Description
We fell in love the minute we saw Seakale and knew we had to buy it and ‘bring it back to health’. Not that we knew it at the time, but it was once the Tram Keepers house who used to look after the trams running up and down the track (Tram Road) at the turn of the century. Since then it’s been the local ‘shrimpers’ cottage for many years and remained pretty much untouched until we bought it in early 2008.

With views of the sea from the top floor, a narrow pebble beach as a garden to the rear it seemed only sensible to make this cottage feel a lot more ‘seaside’ so we set about whitewashing the bare wooden floors and furnished it more simply in whites and light blues. For it’s size there’s a good sized double aspect sitting room, with open fire place, leading to a modern kitchen and double doors to the outside. Upstairs there are 3 very comfortable double bedrooms and a gleaming white bathroom with laundry and airing cupboard.
